Venus by MichaelO Venus by MichaelO
Seems like ages since I've done some regular artwork. With my Olympic series tying me up for the past year, it was nice to take a break and get back to this style of art. Creating the gold effect in my Olympic series takes an unbelievable amount of brain power and this style feels like a walk in the park after that (although this did take a number of days to finish). I had tried this concept 3 different times in the past dating back 3 years ago but it wasn't till now that i finally got the right pose. She's a Venus man trap! :)

With 4 photo shoots in the past two weeks, this image is only the beginning. Stay tuned.

Just out of curiosity, did anybody else catch the significance of the bloom in her hair? (Many compliments for this, by the way: I'm a carnivorous plant rancher, and that's the first thing I spotted.)
