CommentsNormally I am good at giving advanced critiques. I think the only thing that I would change is that some of the squares on the bottom have the same squigglies through them. I would keep the squares but do them individually. Does that make sense? In any rate, I love this.
Sarah P.S. -- ~Member of =Circleoffriends First - thank you for making suggestions. I always like to know what people like and dislike about my work. It helps me with productionin the future.
Second - I see what you mean how the 'squigglies' are repeated. My reason for doing that was to extend those elements towards the edges... and I was too lazy to try anything else. Thanks again! Holly shi........... WOW! Great work! Keep working with Vectors man. Please
Wow! I really like that. The vector art style works for you. The colours and the fascinating concept are what make this for me. It looks like it could be a jelly-fish occupying a vast ocean and at the same time a tree. Really atmospheric. Personally I dislike the blocky / tech style surrounding the tree. I feel it loses the organic feeling so greatly established in the roots. The logo at the bottom is a bit prominent for my liking too. But apart from that the mix of styles works for you and gives you an original touch where alot of people would opt for trend styles.
All good points, Thanks. I forgot to mention there is a little bit of 3d in there as well where the roots first begin.
I got your comment on my page. It was so nice of you to come on over and tell me you not only replied but that you appreciate the comment. We need more people like you on dA. As I look at this piece, again, I just simply adore it. The detail is astounding and I love how you make vector art your own with the addition of non-vector elements.
Okay, I need to stop with the compliments. I just love this. Sarah -- ~Member of =Circleoffriends Nice...upper part of picture looks good but lower looks beautiful...
-- mixing styles is what makes art, I think. you did. the colors are awesome, and it looks like a mix of sci-fi and magic - that we don't see everyday. what I really appreciate too is that it isn't symetric. when you do vector, it is so easy to do just a side then copy it and flip it out, but you didn't do that, you have a 11 on 10 for that. personnally I fell in love with the roots. can't think of anything else but Yggdrasil. the only thing that I find less good is the rectangles, in the sky near the upper left corner... it looks like... right-click in Windows XD. but else it is a fav. wow.. very cool ..the colors, shapes..all that stuff.. is there a wallpaper version possible??
