The theme here is ~ 'being surrounded by beauty but filled with misery on the inside.'
As you can see she's not being pushed into the water, as is you would expect but instead she wants to jump, to escape the misery of her life as a captive at sea.

In a way this relates to the Greek myth of Cassandra (whose name means - bringer of doom) who had a tragic, untimely death brought on by her own madness. There's also a song about a girl named Cassandra who left on a ship after the death of her sister and father so obviously, the name fit well.

I've considered writing a story based on this climatic image. Maybe I will one day.
